Foreclosure Freezes...

We have been receiving a lot of calls from the people in our community about the foreclosure freezes by major lenders & what it means to them as homeowners. So as a community service, I am reaching out to provide information.

Any type of foreclosure freeze really translates into more time for struggling homeowners to find better alternatives to a foreclosure. Obviously it is not an excuse to avoid paying mortgage payments, but it has bought a lot of time for homeowners to research other options.

I want everyone in our community to know that there are solutions out there; even if they are already in the foreclosure process or if they owe more on their home than it's currently worth & don't know what to do. Do you know anyone in this situation that I can help? If so, please pass on my information or contact me with their information & I will reach out to them.

I am a Certified Distress Property Expert (CDPE) so I have the experience & the knowledge to help people through this difficult time.

Look what is coming to Portland....

The only thing little Ralph Parker hopes to find under the tree is a Daisy Brand Red Ryder BB rifle. He doesn’t simply want it—he’s consumed with an aching desire for it. Looming in the way, however, are alleyway bullies, major awards, freezing flagpoles, unsympathetic authorities and a certain horrifying Macy’s Santa. Based upon the classic motion picture, this play is a holiday treat everyone can enjoy—that is, until someone shoots their eye out.

This is one of my favorite movies of all time! Every holiday season I watch it AT LEAST one time... so this year I think I will go & see it performed live on stage!

Portland Nursery Apple Tasting...

There is a giant red apple balloon floating over the Stark Street Portland Nursery, signaling the arrival of this year's annual Apple Tasting. This is their 23rd year of celebrating apples!

Twenty-three years ago the Portland Nursery started this FREE event for the neighborhood & the community. This year there are over 50 varieties of apples & pears to taste! Many varieties can be purchased by the pound at the traditionally low, Apple Tasting prices (~ .89 cents/pound).

What is a CDPE?

A Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE) is a real estate professional with specific understanding of the complex issues confronting the real estate industry, and the foreclosure avoidance options available to homeowners. Through comprehensive training and experience, CDPEs are able to provide solutions for homeowners facing hardships in today’s market, specifically short sales.

The prospect of foreclosure can be financially and emotionally devastating, and often homeowners proceed without guidance of any kind. The best course of action for a homeowner in distress is to speak with a well-informed, licensed real estate professional that has CDPE training & certification. They have the tools needed to help homeowners find the best solution for their situation. Often, when other options have been exhausted, CDPEs can help homeowners avoid foreclosure through the efficient execution of a short sale.

While enduring financial difficulties is challenging for any family, the process of finding a qualified real estate professional should not be. Selecting an agent with the CDPE Designation ensures you are dealing with a professional trained to address your specific needs.

Karina Stark has dedicated the time to become a Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE). She is very passioniate & extremely dedicated to help you (or anyone you know) through this difficult time in the market.
